Statement From Joe Youngblood SEO & Digital Marketing Consulting on COVID-19
The COVID-19 novel coronavirus has made its way to the Dallas, TX area and it is our belief that this will soon lead to a state of emergency. As such we’re immediately suspending in-office operations at our Dallas, TX Office and all outbound travel. Starting tomorrow March 10th all staff will begin working from home. For the next few days only one person will man the office during our office hours to take care of any walk-in clients. Starting on Monday March 16th the office will be fully closed to staff and visitors, this closure will hopefully only last until April 13th.
Joe’s guest lecture at University of Texas at Dallas on March 24th has been postponed indefinitely and his panel discussion about Local SEO with the DFW AMA chapter has been postponed until later this year. All requests for speaking engagements including conferences, meetup groups, chambers of commerce, industry trade groups, and trade shows are all being asked to wait until at least the beginning of May. If speaking requests are for virtual engagements such as online conferences, live streams, or podcast call-ins Joe is open to scheduling those during this time.
At Joe Youngblood SEO & Digital Marketing Consulting we enjoy having as many staff at our office working as possible, however, we always offer employees flexibility and run work from home drills where office staff is randomly asked to work from home. All of this has helped us prepare for an event like this and we are confident we’ll still be just as effective and productive for our clients as we always are. All client meetings will be held via a Zoom video conference or via a conference phone call.
During the time that our office is closed we are having it completely disinfected to avoid any chance that the virus can infect staff once we return to the office at the conclusion of this pandemic.
SEO and digital marketing are likely to be more important than ever during this outbreak. We’ve been working around the clock to ensure our clients are well prepared for any questions or concerns their consumers might have.
Thank you for your understanding and please stay healthy.
